The club was founded in 1957 as the Reading Tape Recording and Cine Society in the daysof audiotape, 35mm colour slides and 8mm cine film. Members migrated to videotape in the mid 80’s.
In the past 20 years computerised digital technology, YouTube and Vimeo, have revolutionised things. Members of the Reading Film and Video Makers now enjoy the most sophisticated, accessible and affordable filmmaking ever.
